CBSE 10th and 12th Maths paper distribution of  marks and difficulty level

The time for CBSE mathematics paper for class 10th is 10:30 and date is 14th march 2009. CBSE board exams are starting from 2nd of March. Have a look on some important points for maths subject class 10:

Weightage to content units

The total paper would be of 80 marks:
Number system: 4 Marks
Algebra 20 marks
Trigonometry 12 marks
Coordinate geometry 8 marks
Geometry 16 marks
Menstruation 10 marks and statistics & probability 10 marks

It means algebra and geometry have the highest weightage of marks. If we plus 20+24= 44 marks for Algebra and Geometry.

Question weightage

There would be 10 questions in math for 1 mark each
5 question of 2 marks each total marks 10
10 question of 3 marks each total 30 marks
5 question of 6 marks each total 30 marks

Difficulty level in math

15% easy
70% average
15% difficult

All the important question of 6 marks will be from each topic except number system and coordinate geometry.
This is the total division of marks and questions for cbse math paper of 10th class for the year 2009.

For 12th class

Total marks for math question paper would be 100
10 marks for relations and functions
10 marks for algebra
44 marks for calculus
17 marks for vectors and three-dimensional geometry
6 marks for linear programming and 10 marks for probability

Have a look on weightage of questions

10 question would be very short type of one marks each total marks 10
12 Short question of 4 marks each total marks 48
7 long question answers of six marks each total marks 42

Total marks 10+48+42= 100

Difficulty level

15% question would be very easy, 70% paper would be average and rest 15% would be difficult

Work hard as the examination are very very near,  practice as much as you can, revise all you mathematics formulas after regular intervals, don’t let any topic lose for better marks must prepare some last year sample papers very well of CBSE board.
